Andrew James Ditlevsen

Andrew Ditlevsen is an associate and is a member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group. Andrew's practice focuses primarily on protection of creditor’s rights and litigation of banking, business and real estate related disputes. He is experienced in representing creditors  in bankruptcy cases under Chapter 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, as well as both representing creditors and debtors in adversary proceedings and contested matters.  He has represented individuals and companies in both state and federal courts.

Additionally, he is an accomplished trial attorney.  In 2014, he was solely responsible for successfully taking two cases through trial.  In each, he prepared the complaint, conducted all discovery, handled all motion practice and developed the respective case strategies.  He obtained judgments for nondischargeability of debt in both cases.  In one, he proved the debtors committed actual fraud and my clients were awarded in excess of $250,000.  He has sat second chair in three other trials in State court involving incidents of fraud and a dispute real estate easement.

Andrew also handles transactional matters for individuals and businesses, including reviewing and drafting promissory notes, loan agreements, asset purchase and sale agreements, representation in the sale of commercial businesses and land use matters. 

In every matter, Andrew strives to find creative, efficient solutions to his clients’ problems.  He also endeavors to develop positive relationships with his clients by placing their interests first, by taking the time to put himself in their shoes and appreciating their concerns.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, hiking, running and spending time with his golden retriever, friends and family.
