Hired after Hecht confirmed that he knew Construction and Real Estate law as well as how to litigation can be affected and effected by Contractor's State Licensing Board (CSLB), Bonds Claims. - Will not return calls or email in a timely fashion - i.e. 2-3 weeks later. - Will not provide itemized st...atement of hours after verbal and written requests - Delayed filings with CSLB and Bond; said he would write letters to both, but has not - This delayed needed evidence, which could have changed the outcome, via a Summary Judgement. - Prepaid for services that were not performed; One must refund that back under CA law. - Will not fix settlement, that caused CSLB and Bond Claim to fail, even though he assured me it would not, months before, during, after signing the settlement. - Has not responded to verbal or written request to fix settlement

I hired Mr. Hecht because I was hit by a car that broke my wrist and separated my shoulder. It took me awhile to heal. We had to file a suit against the insured and their insurance company. Their defense said I was partially at fault because I was wearing dark clothing. It was kinda funny listening t...o my attorney's response, "Well, uh. That's interesting. I think counsel is talking about the accident that happened in daytime on August XX, 2016, right? Their own exhibit 'x' shows my client wearing a white shirt and shoes, laid out on the ground like a triathlete who just won the Ironman. Minus the victory medal, plus X amount of dollars in medical bills and ongoing pain for the past 9 months which is likely to continue. Perhaps, one of my discovery questions should have been whether or not the driver is blind, but it's clear that either counsel is or they just don't give a S%*^ that my client was injured." Roger is a great attorney! Unfortunately, for him a least, he is so great that other attorneys get pissed off and leave bad reviews. So don't pay attention those. Roger helped me with two matters that required the help of a legal professional. First, I was rear-ended by a drunk-driver. Roger took... the time to make sure that I was receiving the medical care that I needed and receive restitution from the dumbo that hit me. I will admit he may be a bit of a caveman. If it wasn't for his assistant (Veronica, I think) he might still communicate with grunts and smoke signals. However, when it was game time, Roger was prepared and communicated intelligently. The second time, I hired Roger was for a personal matter that required a delicate and methodical mind. I would hire Roger again in a heartbeat if I need legal help again.
