I needed to update my living trust after having it done more than 20 years ago. After talking to many prospective law firms, I settled down with Fidea law (Sujunk and her team). Here is my honest review of Fidea Law - 1) Knowledgeable - Attorney Sujunk knows the estate law really well and often an...ticipated what the clients need. 2) Cost - I have Metlife Legal Plan and I did not have to pay more out-of-pocket other than the $40 cost for the binder. Other lawyers charged extra for such things like sub-trust, martial trust, etc even though in my opinion not much more work from the law firm perspective. They have the template anyway. 3) Friendliness - I found the Sujunk and her their entire staff extremely easy to work with and they are super friendly. I want to specifically call out assistant Rachel who is super nice and super helpful. They always promptly responded my emails and provided the answers I was looking for without making me to feel that they are too busy. I met Sujunk twice (one for the initial consultation on the web, and one in person when doing the final review and signing). Both times, I was never rushed or had plenty of time to go through each of every little details. This is not the same for the other lawyers. The other lawyers just wanted to move on as quickly as possible. In general, I feel that I found a good lawyer for estate planning, and I would definitely want to recommend her to anyone!

Attorney Sujung Park (for whom there is no relation to me) has my highest recommendation. I found her through the ARAG program (a legal insurance program through my company) and selected her because she had the highest number (by far) of excellent reviews. I needed a Revocable Trust, Pour Over Will ...and Advanced Directive--the standard things one needs in Estate Planning. This was my second experience with an estate attorney, my first experience was awful due to the attorney forgetting pertinent details we had discussed, used excessive legalese in explaining things and sending emails with misspellings and typos. By contrast, Attorney Park listened and remembered what I said and then by understanding my concerns, drafted a Trust and Advanced Directive that reflected my wishes and incorporated specific things that I wanted in there. It was completed efficiently with a competent office staff that was friendly and helpful. Her communication skills are excellent, she explained the process and the nuances in a manner understandable by a layperson. Her responses to questions I had along the way were prompt as well and professional. I did not need a bilingual attorney, but my understanding is that she speaks Korean.

Recently, my wife and I had our estate plan reviewed and revised the third time by Sujung Park. Our first estate plan was drafted in 1993 and the second amendment 2005, Portland, Oregon. Because of the complexities of our estate plan and the enormous amount of cost incurred for the first two plans,... we were reluctant to have it reviewed the third time. Sujung not only made it clear how much it would cost for our plan reviewed from the get-go but also explained the differences between the tax laws of Oregon and California while pointing out many different options dealing with the issues of trustees, beneficiaries, executors, personal will, power of attorney, health directives and etc. She was prompt, courteous and highly efficient in amending our estate plan the third time at a very reasonable cost. Both my wife and I are first-generation Korean Americans, and naturally, we were pleasantly surprised by Sujung's perfect command of Korean. As her credentials indicate she is a first-class attorney with high integrity and no-nonsense approach for this very important subject of Estate Planning. Thanks to Sujung Park, we are immensely relieved that we now have our third amendment in our hands and I am sure our children will appreciate it too.
