I have represented public entities in prosecuting administrative proceedings and defending civil litigation of claims for employment discrimination and retaliation and wrongful termination. I have counseled clients concerning employee separation and discipline and conducted internal investigations. I have worked to ensure compliance with employment laws, union agreements, ADA, and employee benefits including CalPERS and medical benefits. I have also represented public entity clients in real estate transactions, construction disputes, and commercial transactions with vendors and suppliers.
In my 26 years of experience, I have represented clients in a range of litigation matters including insurance defense of catastrophic injury cases, copyright defense, breach of contract, financial fraud, and bankruptcy litigation. I represented employers in employment litigation, including claims for discrimination, wrongful discharge, and employment-related torts. I have also worked in surety and construction law including prosecuting and defending construction defect litigation, and surety indemnity.
