Incompetence is John Hannon III's Most Redeeming Value

If you want to waste time in the litigation process, John Hannon III is the attorney for you. His lack of attention to detail and expectation you WILL follow his demands and not make your decisions with his advice), will cause him to walk away from your case. He's looking for a quick $$, not anything... in your best interests. We were unfortunate enough to experience his lack of professionalism directly in our case. When the initial consultation was done, our impression is he is more about the joking around, rather than offering advice. I wish we never experienced John Hannon III, it was a very regretful experience hiring this attorney.

Unprofessional, unethical and incompetent

John Patrick Hannon III. Mr. Hannon would rather be basting a turkey than sitting behind his desk- as demonstrated by his lack of work ethic, carelessness and dishonesty. He gave the defendants' attorneys all my materials, evidence and documentation. He did this because he had failed to produce what ...they'd requested of me and I'd given to him. Instead of doing his job, he plopped a stack of my papers on the table said, "Take what you need." He didn't get my materials back from them until the case was dismissed - denying me access to my own legal documents. He didn't prepare me for my deposition. He didn't tell me when the settlement mediation was to be held until one week prior to it. He took my case on contingency, which I guess translates to: big pay for little work. John Hannon is capable of egregious behavior toward his client, a poster boy for the unscrupulous lawyer. Don't be taken in by his 1960's Beatles mop haircut, good ol' boy charm or the wonderful buffalo hide decor in his office. Hannon was my last chance at justice and he took a great case, mangled and bungled it, costing me any chance for a good outcome. He said we wouldn't settle for less than "6 figures" or my case would be heading to Court. Sadly his actions did not reflect his statements. I didn't even have their mediation briefs until the day of the settlement mediation. I had no time to prepare and their lawyers had all my papers. I'd left the settlement conference without signing and another lawyer had also left without signing. Even knowing they hadn't signed, Hannon called me and demanded I go to a fax machine sign and fax back the acceptance. I was sick about how this was being handled and truly knew at this point Hannon was working against me. I wasn't even aware the settlement remained unsigned and not finalized until I spoke to the mediation firm, (when I couldn't reach Hannon). I informed them I would be revoking my signature. Days elapsed before I could speak to him and by this time the defendant signed. Later Mr. Hannon yelled at me in front of the Courthouse steps while passersby gawked at him screaming and flailing his arms. He was angry because I had the temerity to come to court on my behalf to ask the Judge to do what John Hannon would not: set aside the settlement and ask for a continuance until I could find another attorney. By this time Mr. Hannon had prepared his withdrawal paperwork and, there on the courthouse steps, demanded I substitute myself as In Pro Per. That same day he told me in the presence of defendant's attorney he was through with me. My family will never recover the losses we suffered directly due to John Hannon's negligence, gross incompetence, and misconduct.
