DO NOT HIRE THIS HORRIBLE LAWYER EVER! HES A THIEF WHO STOLE ALL THE MONEY I PAID HIM AND RAN OFF. HE HAS DISSAPEARED!!! Right as my case is getting very close to it’s ending. The most vital time for him to complete various tasks which are required in order for me to win my case, never even completed...! I found out from the process server that he hired 2 1/2 months, to serve someone, he was suppose to pay the orocesss server 2 months ago, but in fact NEVER DID!! Now my hearing date is only weeks away and Shelby is now just gone. He hasn’t returned my calls in almost a month and is obviously taking my money! If you are smart! DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY EVER!!!!

I asked a question on AVVO and he responded. I then exchanged e-mails and info with him for a good 6 weeks- which he always responded right away. He seemed very professional and helpful. Then when it came time to execute our retainer and demand letter he just disappeared. I tried contacting him again... for another 2 months- ZERO response. I was very bummed. I sure hope he is OK.

I hired Shelby Clark to prepare documents for a civil suit in small claims, after my ex stole my dog. During our first conversation before I hired him, I told him I needed the documents ASAP. He told me it would take him 3-4 hours to prepare the documents, and he should be fairly quick. I sent the re...tainer of $750. About 2 weeks go by, and I don’t hear anything from him. I send an email asking about progress, no response from Clark. Over a week goes by, he calls telling me he will call me in a day or two for some info. Almost two weeks go by, with no call or email. After 6 weeks of this I call on a Wednesday telling him I need to get the documents done so I can file. He tells me no problem the docs will be done by Friday. Friday comes I get an email telling me due to “timing” the docs will be done as soon as Monday. I said ok. Monday comes and goes, no contact from Clark. Wednesday I email him asking about progress, no response. Friday email Clark again, no response. The following week, I call first thing Monday morning, Shelby Clark tells me the docs will be done today. Tuesday afternoon no confirmation the docs are complete and mailed. I emailed him again telling him my concerns and that he has be in breach of our contract several times. No response from Clark. I call Wednesday after noon, he sends me to voicemail. Wednesday night I fired him, asking the refund of my retainer, No work had been done on my documents , but he has plenty of time to post on Twitter several time a day. Two days later still no response and no retainer. I have already taken steps to report him to California bar.
