Robert Strickland is an accomplished attorney with outstanding experience in civil litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and transactional work. His primary focus is in personal injury and employment litigation.
Robert began his career in 2004 at the California Department of Insurance where he assisted individuals and corporate entities with interpreting and applying statutes regulating California’s insurance industry. This experience continues to provide Strickland Law Group with the necessary knowledge and insight in handling complex coverage issues and limiting individual exposure for our clients.
Robert then joined the preeminent law firm of Brayton Purcell in Novato, CA. Here his practice included personal injury, product liability, and mass toxic tort litigation. Responsible for all aspects of client matters, Robert was successful in obtaining high yield settlements and contributing to seven figure verdicts. Robert’s professional achievements were recognized by the firm when it quickly promoted him to lead attorney and executive manager of its Los Angeles office.
After two years managing the Los Angeles office, Robert returned to the Bay Area to marry his wife, Kimberly Strickland. Robert’s practice in Northern California has centered on employment law including pursuing and defending claims for employment discrimination, retaliation, disability, and wage and hour compliance. Robert also advises business clients on compliance with employment laws. This work allowed Robert to develop close ties with clients ranging from business owners, independent contractors, union members, employees, and civil servants including many members of California’s law enforcement agencies. Robert’s extensive knowledge of laws and regulations affecting employees, organizations, corporations, administrative agencies, and state and local government has proven an invaluable asset to the firm and its clients.
Robert is admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of California, as well as the Northern, Eastern, and Central District Federal Courts. He is also admitted to practice and argue before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
