Stunned to be fired, I found myself with no option but to sue my former friends, my former law firm.  Pieter stepped up to represent me in the contentious discrimination case that followed the firm's threat to "bury me" if I dared to take action.  Our first mediator said no judge would find the time to even read the briefs, because the privilege issues were so complex.  In the face of a grinding, aggressive defense, resulting in a 61-page court docket, Pieter pressed on to methodically address sensitive attorney-client privilege issues, including an anti-SLAPP motion grounded in the litigation privilege.  While they tried to get us to rely on privileged evidence, Pieter strategically grounded the case on unprivileged information in the public record.  Pieter won motion after motion.  He persevered and prevailed, ultimately restoring my own faith in the court system.
