Due to the questionable practices of this attorney and his firm, what should have been settled in a few weeks became a multi-year protracted litigation with a much higher settlement than what the plaintiff wanted in the first place. Plus the headaches, worry, frustration, and sleepless nights. To...o late in the game I consulted another attorney who suggested that several of the charges could have been dropped had my attorneys filed a motion for summary judgment at the get go, instead of allowing the plaintiff to go a wild fishing expedition, and allowing this "defense" attorney to ring up a huge tab taking depositions left, right, and center. His know-it-all attitude towards me (his client) was condescending and demeaning. At the same time he was not as knowledgeable about the nuences of the law that he is supposed to be an expert at. He did not prepare me adequately for the deposition and the other attorney was able to run circles around him.
