Robert Stewart Jaret

Kind, considerate, never greedy, having the client’s interest at heart first and foremost. These are not words that one does not usually associates with a lawyer, but in the case of Robert Jaret, every bit of the above is true. I had some employment-related issues and badly needed legal advice from a... lawyer, but I did not know whom to turn to. In desperation, I turned to the Yellow Pages, and after numerous phone calls and voice mails, I stumbled upon Robert. To my amazement, he promptly returned my calls. Over the next couple of days, I spoke with Robert several times, who listened attentively to my issues and concerns and offered me invaluable advice – all for free! Not only that, Robert even discouraged me from going down certain paths that would have cost me a fortune but would have led to nowhere. Prior to speaking with Robert, I had some “free consultations” with some rather fishy lawyers, whose MO was to provide as little consultation as possible and then do their best to get me to open my wallet. One lawyer even asked me to folk over thousands of dollars (money that I do not have) as part of her “discount plan” before she even did any work for me. In comparison, it seems to me that Robert was there first and foremost to listen and offer honest assessment and help. Of course Robert needs to make a living, too, so he will eventually charges his client, but he’s so unlike other greedy lawyers that he does not hesitate to discourage you from engaging his service for certain things that would not serve your interest but would potentially earn him a lot of money. Robert was really a Godsend for me at the moment I needed good advice most, and I’m very grateful for this. In my opinion, Robert is a very competent lawyer with a good heart. (I believe in Karma, and if Robert has treated his other clients and potential client as he has treated me, I’m sure he has earned bushels and bushels of good karma that will serve him well!) Finally, I must give a shout-out to the Yellow Pages. In this day of Google, twitter, linked in and other forms of social media, who’d have thought one could find gold in the Yellow Pages!
