Nadine Lea Burg

I consulted with Nadine on a complicated case involving domestic abuse and minor child. Through the process, I got the impression that Nadine preferred to settle given I just needed a peace (her perspective) and my case was not strong enough to get restraining order plus it might trigger more tension.... These all can be valid consideration, but she was very struggling to provide any solution in the call and requested more time to think about it. The whole time with very expensive rate she spent lots on thinking and asking if there was any physical violence involved, when a pre-intake was done with my case high-level. At the end, I didn't get a feeling she truly understood my situation or knew what coercive control could be like , and I felt my money was kind of wasted. Though I appreciated her willingness to think thoroughly and soft communication, but I would doubt she had dealt many high-conflict cases like this. And after a few days, she or her firm didn't follow up with a second consultation as initially promised.

I consulted with Nadine after my wife told me that she wanted to split. She was really smart, knew the law, and was able to explain it well to me. Unlike the other attorneys that I spoke with, she wasn't just out to rack up fees and rake my wife over the coals. I really appreciated that. Things have... settled down at home, but I have already given her name to some friends. She was great!

I worked with Nadine at the Facilitator's office at the San Mateo court. She was awesome! I came in with a very complicated child support problem. She explained what was going on about my case, and made resolving it simple. I went back recently to say hi, and heard that she started a practice in Oakl...and. I would hire her in a minute!
