Geva Baumer was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2002. He joined a San Diego law firm specializing in bankruptcy and real estate litigation. In 2006 he became the firm’s lead attorney. In 2008 he opened an office in Oakland.
During his practice, Geva Baumer has prepared and filed hundreds of bankruptcy cases and successfully represented debtors in hundreds of Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 cases. He handled almost every aspect of Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings, including complex adversary proceedings and all types of bankruptcy motions and hearings. In addition, Geva Baumer has successfully litigated real estate, mortgage and consumer protection cases.
Geva Baumer has also been active as a volunteer for the Legal Aid Society of San Diego He is a four time recipient of the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro-Bono Legal Services. In the 2003 he received an award for outstanding pro-bono services.
Geva Baumer is admitted before the Federal Courts for the Northern, Southern, Central and Eastern District of California.
Geva Baumer is also a member of the Israeli Bar. Prior to his relocation to California, he has accumulated 7 years of international experience, working as an associate attorney in an Israeli business law firm, and serving as a legal counsel for a mortgage bank. He has effectively handled several appeals before the Israeli Supreme Court.
