Car Accident 35%

I have handled numerous cases involving every type of collision-from modest to major- and every type of injury-from whiplash to fractures to spinal cord and brain injuries. My approach is simple. My clients come first. I obtain the maximum recovery for every client so that they feel that I believed in them and their case and that I was true advocate for their cause. I am always gratified when I can help someone who needs it.

Motorcycle Accident 20%

Often ignored or not seen by other motorists, motorcycle riders are exposed to the greatest risk of serious personal injury. Victims need a lawyer who is not going to try to settle for whatever they can get. The injured rider needs an advocate for his/her rights who will obtain the maximum recovery allowable by law.

Trucking Accident 15%

Catastrophic injuries often occur when a vehicle collision involves a large rig or 16-wheeler. Meticulous reconstruction of the accident by a top expert is an essential element to preparing such a case. Attorneys who don't perform a careful investigation of the accident are not in a position to obtain maximum recovery for the client. Our offices prepare every case as if it will be tried. This way we insure the best possible monetary outcome.

Brain Injury 10%

Brain injured clients are misunderstood by family, friends, and sometimes even their health care providers. That is because the nature of their injury often makes brain injury patients more withdrawn, irritable, and depressed. My brain injury clients know that I understand them and by understanding them I can best present their case to the opposing party, the judge, or the jury in order to obtain the maximum compensation for their injuries.

Sexual Harassment 10%

Women who are victimized by male co-workers are completely misunderstood. Their livelihood and their physical safety are in jeopardy at the same time in the place where they spend most of their waking hours. As a result, these clients often feel hopeless. They need understanding and advocacy to insure that they are not forced to return to a hostile work environment and that they are compensated for the violations of their person and their dignity.

Wrongful Death 10%

The death of a loved one is so traumatic that family members often cannot perform the tasks of daily living for months and sometimes years to come. Adding the stress of a litigation can make the situation much worse. Clients who have lost a family member as a result of negligence need a strong and sympathetic advocate.

You are the best Edward Casey!!!

Ed Casey was referred to us when we desperately needed the help of an experienced personal injury lawyer. He's been a lifesaver for us more than once.  First, he helped my husband when he suffered a severe head injury after a heavy metal ladder fell on him at work.  Ed ensured that my husband got... full compensation for his injuries, including payment for his medical expenses, wage loss, and the severe pain and suffering he endured. Ed Casey fought the insurance company hard and obtained a great settlement.  Ed helped us again (and a few of my husband's co-workers) when he was able to negotiate a substantial settlement against my husband’s employer for a racially hostile and unfair workplace. I can't thank Ed enough for his expert counsel and his friendship. I highly recommend Mr. Casey to anyone looking for help with a personal injury matter. Ed is kind, responsive and, best of all, gets results! LaDerica G.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I am a workers compensation specialist practicing law in Oakland. I had the honor of being introduced to Ed by a retiring workers compensation attorney who had referred many workers compensation cases to Ed and had only the highest praise. Many workers compensation cases have civil (personal injury) aspects to them and require a team effort between the civil attorney and workers compensation attorney. I have now been working with Ed for many years and have referred many clients to him. I have found him to be knowledgeable, diligent, and most important, compassionate to our mutual clients. Our clients have been very happy with Ed's representation and his results. He is always looking out for how to maximize the results in the civil case and workers compensation case. I never hesitate to refer our clients to him and know our clients will be in good hands."

"I have known Ed Casey for almost 30 years. He and I went to law school together in the early '80s. Ed is an attorney of substantial intelligence and formidable diligence. Although he prefers to settle his cases out of court, when that is not possible, he is an extremely competent and aggressive litigator. His almost 30 years of litigation experience allows him to deftly navigate the court system and obtain very favorable verdicts for his clients. In addition to all this, he is quite simply a very nice guy with whom it is very easy to communicate"

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
