Peter Henry Shenkin

I established my firm intent on helping people and on providing affordable access to the legal system. Whether I'm helping a business founder protect their personal property from liability, guiding an artist through the process of protecting intellectual property, or drafting a co-tenant agreement for siblings who have purchased an apartment complex, helping people is what I do every day. By educating and guiding my clients about their issues, I can better serve their interests and provide legal services that are timely, affordable, and well-tailored to their needs. 

I have a well-rounded and diverse background in business, entertainment, and intellectual property work. I have established a boutique high-end winery, media firms, and several consultant offices; counseled actors, directors, models, and production companies; negotiated settlements with one of the largest winery's and one of the largest real estate brokerage firms in the United States; and helped several people defend themselves from business and property relationships gone sour.  

I pride my practice on communication with my client, honest and tough assertion of their rights in the matter, and a positive and collegial working relationship with opposite counsel. 

I was born and raised in Berkeley, and ultimately found myself settling only a few blocks from where I was raised. Despite spending some time in the Central Valley and the beautiful island of Maui, I knew that I wanted to return to the East Bay to hang my own shingle and assist those whom I call my neighbors.
