Krista Marie Kim

My practice encompasses a wide range of real estate transactions.  I draft and negotiate leases, subleases and ground leases for office, industrial, retail and other commercial property.  I help clients buy and sell all types of commercial real estate, including office buildings, R&D facilities, warehouses, shopping centers, hotels, golf courses and vacant land.  I negotiate construction contracts on behalf of property owners and tenants, including manuscript and AIA industry forms.  

I represent lenders and borrowers with commercial financing transactions, including real estate secured loans, construction loans and loans secured by other assets, such as equipment and partnership and equity interests.  I have also represented clients in intricate renewable energy transactions, including the refinancing and disposition of geothermal, solar and transmission facilities, the negotiation of site leases in connection with solar installations, supply and installation transactions for wind turbine generators and solar power equipment, and title and survey review for wind and geothermal facilities.

Before founding Valence Law Group in 2012, I practiced at a large law firm in San Francisco.  I received my B.S. from U.C. Berkeley in 2000 and my J.D. from UCLA Law School in 2004.
