Martha Davis Alexander

Martha is first and foremost an advocate for the elderly, she was introduced to me by a close family friend who lives in the area and since I live in San Diego and even though I grew up in Walnut Creek I really had no contacts here so I gave her a call. After I told her how we had been trying to help... my Mom set up a trust she agreed to meet my Mom Mary my brother Paul and I at Manor Care in Walnut Creek where Mom was staying after a recent fall. When we first met her outside before she met Mary she said " if she doesn't want to do this then that's it " ...Mom liked her right away and Martha chatted with her about her life and the future and us wanting to help...but Mom being afraid we wanted to put her in a home and take her stuff and Martha explained that wasn't what we wanted but Mom still said no she already had a trust and sent us off to find it are Martha's words were " Good Luck with that Boys " and with a big smile left us with a trust information guide to fill out. After filling that out and e-mailing the information and a copy of the old trust Mom thought was done ( turned out to be a trust for her Mother and her ) a month later I called and she was willing to meet Mary a second time this time at her home on a Saturday, on her time. Mom remembered her right away and they chatted for a couple hours, before bringing the trust up again. This time Mom was much more comfortable and Martha was able to show her the old trust so she could see it was an old one and she needed a new one. Still if Mom didn't outline what she wanted it was going to be a no-go. Mom agreed to start the process and that Monday we all met again but this time a Martha's office and her great staff. Again taking the time to explain to Mom so she agreed and understood what she was signing, and what our jobs as trustees included. I have already given her cards and info out to numerous people, I intend to use her to set my own family trust, I highly recommend her !!

Martha recently helped my mother in law with getting everything in place. Although my mother in law doesn't live in California, Martha still met with her to get everything together that she needed, and made sure she had everything prepared to take back to Oregon to get things signed officially. She w...ent well above and beyond with everything my mother in law needed and I would not hesitate to ask her to assist anyone else I know.
