Paula S Grohs

You know, not everything goes your way in a child custody case. Nothing actually went my way during my 3 year custody battle, but then again, I was asking for an out of state move-away. Paula Grohs went above and beyond for me, eventhough my case resulted in a decline of the move. I can honestly say ...that Paula knows what she is doing when it comes to negotiations in the family law court. But you have to go into any case with knowing that it is the judge who makes the final decision no matter how good of lawyering your attorney gives you. I would recommend Paula to any of my friends and colleagues if they are facing a court case regarding custody issues.

I am still in the process of completing my divorce, but I find that Paula does an excellent job in making sure the paperwork is right. Although she has not been established as long as her partner, Kathleen Perkins, it is clear that the combination of these two professionals in any case they are willi...ng to pursue is formidable representation. I could not say that Paula is superlative because there are some clients who need a lawyer who is willing to provide significant explanations of what is transpiring during the proceedings, and I have no way of judging how much time she would commit to explaining how things work at a basic level. Her explanations to me were full, based on how much I needed to have explained.

These lady's below are out of control! Not everything goes the way you want it! I don't hear them saying what Ms. Grohs DID get them! Only in hindsight are they so quick to remember the bad- what the JUDGE didn't award them. Ms. Grohs defended me in a Motion from Father and Paternal Grandparent’s f...or Custody of my then 5 year old son. I not only STILL have FULL CUSTODY my son, but also the visitation arrangements that I proposed, and also an open line of communication between all parties that was closed before Ms. Grohs came along and worked diligently to repair it. I have since recommended Ms. Grohs to my Mother, whom hired her on a consult basis for a Dissolution, but also my uncle, whom retained her to defend a TRO and respond to Petition for Dissolution: Ms. Grohs got the TRO thrown out, full custody restored to my uncle and support installed. On point, my uncle has also sent Ms. Grohs two referrals, both of which have resulted in the retaining Ms. Grohs. My suggestion to anyone going through divorce or custody issues is to have an educated open mind regarding the law when meeting an attorney and going through the Court system- It is not always fair and can often be quite the opposite of whatever you were expecting.

She kept me sane during a very insane time in my life. With her help I was able to better understand the system and the how/ why point of view of the Court. We were granted my request and since my family has moved on to happier times. Still, when I hear anyone speak of the nightmares of dissolution, ...I quickly pull out Paula's card. Everyone needs someone the can completely trust when going through this kind of turmoil, and Paula is just that.
