James Joseph Fishel

I needed to resolve a property issue involving an ex-spouse with whom I'd lost contact about 25 years ago. I found Mr. Fischel and his paralegal Sunny to be friendly, efficient, and easy to work with. I happily returned to Mr. Fishel when I needed advice on another post-divorce issue (no further acti...on was needed!) and will not hesitate to contact him again if necessary.

As many know, divorce is very stressful. When I first met with Jim, his demeanor and ability to help me get through my case, made me feel at ease. Attorney James Fishel and Paralegal/Notary Sunny DeBord make one excellent team. Prior to hiring this fine team, I was paying a nightmarish amount to an Ex who didn't deserve a dime. James and Sunny quickly got this under control and, before too long, were able to have any payment cease altogeth...er. If a need arises, I will hire them again.

Mr. Fishel turned out to be the epitome of what people despise in lawyers. Beyond the typical over billing for services never rendered or padding time (even for times that I was right in the office and could never have spent the time he accounted), his absolute act of "lawyerism" was to not show up t...o my court date!! You figure that if I can drive 500 miles with my 1yo son in tow that Mr. Fishel could have at least shown up to the appt. He instead played like he had no idea that he should have been in court, even after he was the one that got the date in the first place!!! (Yes, I have the court records that show my attorney-of-record not present!!) He was an OK person to talk with and work on issues with, but he failed me miserably when the time came. I would avoid this attorney unless you have no other choice!
