waste of time and money

Jennifer was extremely unknowledgeable and unprofessional. She was ridiculed by all the other lawyers in front of me, and had to be constantly corrected by the other lawyers. She double billed many hours, had phantom billings, and had no clue about the case. After $35,000 in legal fees (on a $60,000 ...meritless case) another law firm settled the case in about 4 hours. Jennifer would send a fax asking for some information that we sent prior. When we called and told her she already had it, she would say that she found it, and then bill me for the second fax and the phone call. It took over 2 months for her to tender the case to the insurance, leaving me extra tens of thousands in legal fees

The above statement is untrue. We advised the client at the first meeting to tender the claim to insurance and he said he would not because he didn't want his insurance rates to rise. At the mediation, he refused a reasonable offer of $10k to settle, saying he would rather pay our legal fees (which I advised would be much more than $10k and not worth the claim) than pay the settlement offer as a matter of principle. Then, when the bill came he fabricated this nonsense to try to avoid paying it.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
