Roberta Brooks

I recently hired Roberta Brooks to handle a drug case for a local teenager I mentor. The minor was pulled over by the police for speeding. His car was searched and they found marijuana in a back pack. The case was referred to the District Attorney in which they filed felony charges. The minor ma...de a mistake and used poor judgment and began hanging out with the wrong crowed. As parents, we've seen this occur with our children. It's important to learn from this experience and find the right person to help with the legal issue as well. What I liked about Roberta is that she is connected with the legal process and has developed long term relationships with the Courts and the District Attorney. She has experience in handling criminal cases and she is well established in her profession. Roberta is dedicated to doing necessary due diligence with researching all aspects of a case. I believe her background in law enforcement was evident. She is a straight shooter and will communicate honestly to you about potential case outcomes. Robert, working with the DA and Judge, was able to get a deferred entry judgment (DEJ). The minor ended up with 1 year probation and will have all charges dropped upon completion of his program. I believe this was accomplished because of her network and established relationships. She is hard worker who is respected in the community and well liked. I would hire Roberta again if the need arises.

Bottom line, Roberta gets the job done. She is on top of her profession, is an excellent communicator, and will fight to the end for her client. I wasn't even sure I needed a criminal attorney, but am so glad that I put her on retainer because every time the other side tried to creep into my life and... scare me, she was there to remind me that she had it all under control. And she did. If I called her, she got right back to me. Unlike other attorneys who are too busy to call you back, she returned my calls in a prompt fashion and always had an answer for me. Even with all of this, the key to her brilliance is she knows EVERYBODY, and if you don't think that's important, you're wrong. It is VERY important. She is well known and well respected in CoCo county, and in our legal system both of those count for something. If you want a no bullshit attorney who won't run up needless bills, who cuts to the chase, and who is more honest than 90% of the defense attorneys out there, pick up the phone right now and call her. I did and I slept better knowing that no matter what came my way, I had Roberta Brooks on my team. Oh, and btw....my team won.
