Robert Senh opened his office in Martinez in 2009 and enjoys the local character and small-town sensibilities. Centrally located in the county seat of Contra Costa County, Robert has assisted clients throughout the Bay Area. Being a general practice, Robert's office is available to assist you in a wide range of legal issues, including: family law matters, criminal defense, probate administration, civil litigation, and unlawful detainer cases.
Robert received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2008, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Oregon Review of International Law and the Director of the Minority Students Association. Prior to law school, Robert received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Mathematics.
While in law school, Robert interned for the Honorable Lyle C. Velure, a well known and respected trial judge in Oregon who was pivotal in mediating the settlement of the Archdiocese of Portland sex scandal cases. Robert also served as a clerk for the Washington State Attorney General's Office in the Labor and Industries Division.
During the summer of 2006, Robert had the opportunity to teach and travel in China, traveling by air, train, bus, and boat across the length of China from the far northeast in the city of Harbin to the island of Hong Kong in the southeast. While there, Robert taught a course that briefly summarized the history of U.S. law and jurisprudence to undergraduate law students at one of China's top universities, H.I.T (Harbin Institute of Technology).
Following his experience in China, Robert was inspired to study international law and joined the Oregon Review of International Law (ORIL) as an associate editor. The next year, Robert was elected as the managing editor ORIL, responsible for the selection of published articles and the quality of the final publication volumes. After graduation, Robert's article commenting on the rights of resident aliens in the U.S. was published in ORIL. Robert's article, "The Liberty Rights of Resident Aliens," can be found in Oregon Review of International Law, Volume 11, No. 1, on Hein Online, Westlaw, and in most academic law libraries.
Robert has been a strong advocate for increased access to legal representation having interned for Legal Aid of Oregon and volunteering as an attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid. Understanding the difficult financial climate that we are in, Robert works with his clients to provide them with effective legal representation at a reasonable fee.
