Kevin David Flynn

Like Wendy , Kevin Flynn engaged in unprofessional and incompetent representation, amounting to malpractice. He essentially had clouded judgment, or a conflict in interest regarding his cancer diagnosis. He failed to do his duties, and effectively absconded with our $35,000 escrow fund, which he nev...er gave us any accounting statement, per month as required by law. I am very sad at the experience we had with him because we trusted him and he betrayed us. He failed to file our appeal on time and did not take notice of relevant Cal. rules of court , restrictions or statutory limitations. please Kevin, return our money, dont be another unethical lawyer, over your wrongdoings.

Kevin Flynn is not to be trusted. He required a $40,000 retainer fee to perform a child custody that he never refunded me after he indicated his cancer diagnosis prevented him from performing work on my case. For an entire year Kevin Flynn made many errors and omissions. He is incapable of providin...g legal services competently. He and his legal assistant Angela were not straight forward or honest about many aspects of my case or Mr. Flynn’s alleged health problems at the beginning of my case, after I paid my retainer in full. He failed to respond to discovery which resulted in monetary sanctions against me. He overcharged me and misrepresented to me the costs I was incurring. He failed to keep me informed or properly advise me. To date he has failed to refund any part of my retainer or transfer my case to another attorney during his purported illness. He has damaged my case, my relationship with my child and ruined my life. I urge you to not consider him for any legal matters in the future.

Mr Flynn advised me to accept the worst case outcome for every motion I suggested he make. I understand motions cost money, however, they are worth spending money if they can potentially avoid capital payment by his clients (to the other party). Since he came recommended i deferred to his judgement.... After realizing my mistake i moved on to a different lawyer who assured me that all of my suggestions were reasonable and in line with the process of divorce in CA (I had already done my research using the excellent resources provided by the Nolo Press publications). My new representation moved the case forward and forced a settlement in half the time i spent with Mr. Flynn as my counsel. I'm not sure why Mr. Flynn did not provide me the vigorous representation i was requesting. Perhaps he thought the risk/reward ratio was too high. That is how he advised me anyway. In my opinion he was wrong and i feel my approach has been validated after moving on the other representation. I don't think he's a bad lawyer but in retrospect i think he may be too non-confrontational for the kind of law he's doing. It is possible to fight for your client and be reasonable at the same time. The entire process is a negotiation between two parties. Perhaps he needs to get reacquainted with this concept.
