Robert B. Dellenbach

Robert B. (Rob) Dellenbach is a seasoned Silicon Valley lawyer.  He has advised technology, software, Internet, communications, media, life science, energy and other high-growth ventures and their investors in Silicon Valley and worldwide since 1989.  Rob focuses on legal and related business matters facing high-growth ventures and entrepreneurs and their investors.  Together with an extensive network of experienced professionals, he is able to offer to clients premier strategic and general legal services. Rob has been a partner at the prominent firms, Fenwick & West LLP and Reed Smith LLP, and opened his own firm in 2013.

Over the course of his career, Rob has led teams that have advised clients on hundreds of venture capital and private equity financings, mergers, acquisitions, public offerings and strategic intellectual property transactions aggregating billions of dollars in value.  He is skilled in business planning and has written and advised on many of his clients’ business plans, private placement memorandums and prospectuses.  He serves as general counsel and trusted advisor to many of his clients.

Rob speaks frequently on business planning, venture capital finance, intellectual property and acquisition strategies. Rob is a lecturer for the Keiretsu Forum Academy.  He has served as an advisor and guest lecturer at the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and as advisor, mentor, speaker and board secretary for ASTIA, the international nonprofit organization that promotes women as entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth businesses.

Rob is licensed to practice law in California and is a member of the American Bar Association.  He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and graduate summa cum laude with a B.A. Honors from the University of Utah.

Rob is a devoted father and loves photography, film, hiking, kayaking, camping and the outdoors.  He sits on the board of the Solano Performing Arts Association. He is a leader in The Boy Scouts of America and a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.  He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Spain
