After debating for months (and may be years), we decided to write our Trust/Will documents. Like many of us, cost is a factor to consider but when you start the process, you realize that this level of documentation, advice and protection is worth it. One can only hope you don't have to exercise it an...ytime soon :) Anyway, we engaged Sumita Bhandari due to a personal reference who conducted similar business with her firm. First about the firm: Her firm has a nice pleasant office in Danville. We had to visit only twice, one for detailed discovery and next for signatures etc. Our case was not that complicated so it was an easier process. Now about our attorney Sumita: Very professional, always on time and ready to receive us. Communication was always clear and in most cases, written for no ambiguity. The initial interview questions were adequate for us and we did have ton of questions to ask. However, I have to admit that we could not stumble her ;) She had done her research based on what I had explained about family and financial situation over the phone. It took about 2 weeks for her to prepare all the documents and it was first shared securely through their portal. There were couple of small edits for her to make and we were ready for signatures soon after. Impressed by ease of process and thoroughness of the documentation. Guess that's why lawyers get paid big bucks ;) We received digital copies and binder with originals. Start to end, our case took about 3 weeks. Everyone's family and financial situation is different but this is a necessary step and having a professional guide like Sumita makes the process easier for sure. Engage someone like her who knows local/state laws vs. going online (BTW, I tried that as well 2 years ago - world of difference).
