Lita Annette Pettusdotson

Lita helped me with my original child custody order in 2018, and though she hadn’t been involved with the case in a few years, when I needed her support with a relocation case in 2022 she immediately stepped up to help within a few short weeks before the hearing was scheduled. I have a very diffi...cult co-parent, but despite this challenge, I was often told that winning a relocation case would be very difficult. She provided her honest assessment of our case, which was a very similar sentiment. I felt very defeated after hearing her initial perspective, particularly after receiving an unfavorable mediator recommendation report, but it was something I needed to hear. Though it took almost 90 days to hear back from the court, we recently found out that the relocation was granted (plus more than what we asked for our filing). I can't begin to express our gratitude to Attorney Pettus-Dotson and really convey in words what she has accomplished for me and my family. It was a difficult case because we had decided to take my son and his wife to court to obtain guardianship for my grandson. It wasn't that my son or his wife was... mistreating or abusing my grandson but we had been providing for him since he was born. It's wasn't easy being in this difficult place and time but Attorney Pettus-Dotson made it less intimidating.
