Katie has over a decade of experience practicing general civil and employment litigation, representing individuals and small businesses in litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings before state and local agencies. Katie has successfully handled cases in state and federal courts involving a comprehensive array of claims, including wage and hour, breach of contract; workplace harassment; discrimination based on age, disability, sex, race, national origin, religious creed, and other protected categories; retaliation; violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act and California Family Rights Act; wrongful discharge; and others. She is a member of the state bars of California, Michigan and Massachusetts, and a member of the San Mateo County Bar Association. 

Katie obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan (1999) and her JD from The University of Michigan Law School (2002), where she served as Associate Editor for The Michigan Journal of International Law. She has completed academic externships in Seville, Spain and London, England, and both during and after law school, she has worked with non-profit legal organizations helping workers to defend their rights.

Katie also authored an article, with the assistance of her two partners, that was published in Plaintiff Magazine in June 2015. The article is titled "The Equal Opportunity Bully," and details the lack of effective legal measures to combat workplace bullying. Click here to check it out..

When not assisting her clients, Katie enjoys traveling with her family, hiking Bay Area trails with her energetic dog, and training for endurance races.
