Michael Bitondo

Michael Bitondo serves as Of Counsel for the Law Offices of James D. Frangos and concentrates his practice in landlord/tenant law, real estate, estate planning, and criminal defense.  Mr. Mr. Bitondo received his Juris Doctorate Degree from UC Hastings College of the Law with a concentration in Taxation and received his Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA in Political Science and History.

He represents both landlords and tenants in all types of landlord/tenant matters, including unlawful detainers (evictions). He uses his experience in this field to help clients navigate the complex and myriad landscape of landlord-tenant laws. Having a Section 8 tenant or renting in a city with a rent control ordinance such as East Palo Alto can make things even more complicated. If you have a landlord/tenant legal issue, it is important for you to retain an attorney with specific experience in this field to represent you.  Mr. Bitondo has handled all different types of cases such as failure to pay rent, lease violations, hoarding, unapproved alterations to the premises, and unauthorized occupants or subtenants. Sometimes, disputes can be resolved more efficiently without a lawsuit.  Mr. Bitondo understands the tactics the other side will use to try to delay your case and drive up your costs, and how best to combat them.

Mr. Bitondo has significant experience representing clients in California State Court, including court hearings, settlement conferences, bench trials, and jury trials.  He is an ardent advocate for his client's rights. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts and the United States Northern District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
