Derek Oliver Myers

I represent business owners as general counsel in corporate matters and in civil litigation, business disputes, breach of contract cases, commercial real estate matters and insurance claims.

As general counsel, I assist clients with strategic business decisions, including legal entity formation and entity conversions. My services include preparing operating agreements, bylaws and other corporate records, assisting with the purchase and sale of businesses and negotiating owner buyouts.

One of my specialty areas is transportation law. I represent motor carriers, brokers, bus companies, warehouses, and logistics entities in business transactions, litigation, regulatory and DOT/FMCSA proceedings. My work includes preparing and negotiating transportation-related contracts, such as broker-carrier and independent contractor agreements, to facilitate my client's day-to-day operations.
