Olivia Joy Flechsig

Olivia J. Flechsig is a founding partner of Flechsig Howard LLP, where she represents employees, survivors of sexual violence, and individuals whose civil rights have been violated by employers, institutions, and government actors. Her practice focuses on employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, sexual assault, and other civil rights matters.

Over the course of her career, Olivia has helped recover tens of millions of dollars on behalf of employees and survivors. She played a leading role in securing a unanimous $4 million jury verdict against Chevron USA in a disability discrimination case. The case was recognized among the Top 100 Verdicts in California and the Top 20 Employment Verdicts in California in 2025.

Olivia has aspired to become a civil rights attorney since high school, a commitment that has shaped her career from the beginning. Before co-founding Flechsig Howard LLP, she was a partner at one of the nation’s leading plaintiff-side civil rights and employment law firms, where she represented clients in high-stakes litigation and pre-litigation matters against Fortune 50 companies, government entities, and prominent individuals. She is equally comfortable advising C-suite executives as she is advocating for low-wage workers whose voices too often go unheard.

Olivia has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Employment Law, and her work has been featured in publications including The New York Times, Bloomberg Law, CNN, The Times, and the Daily Journal. In addition to her legal practice, she has taught Applied Trial Advocacy at Loyola Marymount University.
