I am an experienced, registered patent attorney and a partner in my firm's Intellectual Property (IP) group and Patent sub-group.  I leverage my engineering background to secure IP protection for leading technology-oriented companies and entrepreneurs. My  practice focuses on:

• Preparing and filing patent applications, trademark registration applications and copyright registration applications (patent prosecution/procurement, trademark prosecution/procurement, etc.). 
• Developing IP portfolios and protection strategies.
• Counseling clients and providing legal opinions on third-party IP, including non-infringement, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate opinions. 
• Patent reexaminations. 
• Performing IP due diligence for corporate mergers and acquisitions. 
• Performing IP pre-enforcement investigations and analysis. 
• Providing legal and technical analysis to support IP litigation and licensing negotiations.

My clients range from early-stage start-up companies to large, public corporations, both domestic and international.  I have extensive experience initiating IP protection programs for start-ups as well as managing and building large, complex IP portfolios for established companies.  With a degree in Electrical Engineering and experience as an engineer in the aerospace industry, I have secured patents and other IP rights for clients in technology areas, including:
