Vinuta P. Naik

Ms. Naik is a public interest attorney who helped me petition the department of justice to correct my rap sheet, even when private paid attorneys said it could not be done. She showed patience and compassion with me, even when I asked a lot of questions (more than I probably should have). She obvious...ly cares about clients and social justice. Where other snooty attorneys are judgemental, Ms. Naik is empathic, believing that her client's in recovery deserve every chance at reintegration into society. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Ms. Naik and I would encourage anyone considering spending their precious savings (if you even have any) on a private attorney to consider giving a pro bono/public interest attorney, like Ms. Naik, a chance. I am proud of her, and the work she does currently in her AmeriCorps fellowship and the good work she will do going forward. I am not a religious person, but god bless this attorney and her good heart and conscience. I am grateful for her service and I am now better for it, regardless of the outcome.
