Exceptional Attorney - He Won My Case

I hired Paul Donsbach of Next Legal in the Spring of 2021 to represent me for a post-divorce financial and custody dispute with my ex-husband. From our first Zoom call, I knew I was in excellent hands. His knowledge of the law and sharp grasp of my specific case showed that not only was he a highly e...xperienced attorney but also an unusually good listener. These skills continued to shine over the next year that we worked together on building strategies that ultimately led us on a path to victory. Paul was extremely honest about the pitfalls that might be ahead and instead of making me feel discouraged, he outlined what our responses would be if the opposing attorney took certain tactics. I sensed his commitment to integrity when it was clear he did not advocate "playing dirty" but did present traits of strong leadership. I knew he would go to the mat for my case. Paul also has an excellent team of experienced attorneys and paralegals who assisted on my case. This helped to keep overall fees down and gave me a sense that I had several people reviewing my case. They were responsive and available when I needed it most. In the end, I believe Paul won the case for two main reasons: He has extensive experience in many areas of law which proved pivotal in shutting down the weak arguments of my ex husband's attorney, and Paul was very quick on his feet during the trial. Ultimately, he proved masterful at pivoting the opposing witness testimonies to benefit our case. During the trial, I was in awe of his sharpness as well as his respectful manner towards everyone in the courtroom. You will be in excellent hands with Paul Donsbach as your attorney!

no nonsense advice

Mr. Donsbach was kind enough to meet with me and consult me as to what to do in my custody case. My case has been ongoing for a while and is confusing. Mr Donsbach listened well and made sure he understood the details and timeline. He had a very clear opinion and let me know what to realistically exp...ect and the cost involved. Even if that meant not getting the case. Mr. Donsbach was courteous and polite and never made me feel uncomfortable or less in any way. The office is beautiful and inviting.

Praise for Paul!

I had been struggling with attorneys who were representing me through a Divorce that had been going on for two years with no concrete settlement - just bickering back and forth which left the attorneys with a large lump of cash. I was frustrated with the whole situation, and looked online for another... replacement attorney, and came across PAUL DONSBACH. I met with him once and we went to court one week later. Paul took total control of the hearing, was very fair, and came up with a deal that we were both happy with. AND THAT WAS IT!!! If you are struggling with a divorce and throwing away your hard earned money to ‘useless’ and ‘ruthless’ attorneys, ‘CALL PAUL’.

A steady hand

Mr. Donsbach, was not a referral he was some one that I found through a direct mailer, and I have to admit that it was a great decision on my part. I thought that my divorce would be simple and amicable and so I originally did not think to hire a lawyer. I simply used Paul for a consultation and he g...ave me some advice on how to best proceed. He never pressured me to hire him full time or steered my case in a contentious or litigious way and was simply supportive of what I told him the goals of my divorce were. When things started to become much more difficult he continued to be supportive and gave me options as to how to best proceed all the time never pressuring me for unnecessary office hour visits and never looking to add unreasonable hours to my billing. In the end Paul became a trusted friend who always had my best interests at heart regardless of the financial advantage or disadvantage to himself. I would recommend him to anyone who needs legal services as he will be a kind ally who will help guide you through what can potentially be a very difficult time in your life; keeping you informed of what is going on and always helping you feel as though you have options and choices in moving forward in your case and in your life.

Grossly negligent attorney

Please do not use this attorney. He cost me my case and I'd hate to see him do this to others. Despite repeatedly telling me we would do trial prep, he never did. Even up to the day before the trial I was asking to do trial prep. He went into court completely unprepared. The judge ignored every singl...e one of his facts that he failed to establish. He forgot to submit the deposition before court. He tried to impeach the witness and the judge looked at him dumbfounded as she cannot impeach the witness if there is no deposition. He still charged me for the deposition. No only was the deposition worthless, it actually prepared my ex for trial. He kept advising me that the judgment could be appealed. However, it cannot. Every lawyer knows it cannot be appealed if there is no court reporter. He might have been a good lawyer once but now he just appears not to care. I think he writes fantasy novels now so he might be leaving his lawyer career behind. He didn't show up for some meetings. He left early at others. For the ones he did attend he didn't bother to listen. He needs to be disbarred immediately before he destroys other people that trust and count on him.
