Husband saves thousands of dollars , retains 99% of assets by Paul Donsbach's defense in divorce case.

When my wife filed a divorce in 2013 thru her lawyer, I consulted/interviewed 2 lawyers to defend me. I had about 10 questions about my divorce case, the procedures, documentations needed, my options, fees and other legal matters I needed to know. The 1st lawyer went thru the procedures, documentati...ons, fees and refused to answer other questions unless I first sign a contract with him. I left and proceeded to consult/interviewed the 2nd lawyer (Paul F. Donsbach ). Paul answered all of my questions first. I was convinced of his professionalism by not asking for the money first but also he pointed out all the possible legal issues involved on spousal support, child support, retirement benefits...etc. After the interview/consultation, I felt completely comfortable dealing with Paul that I made the contract with him to be my defense lawyer. Paul's analysis and recommendation gave light to my financial dilemna, I opted not for a court litigation but for a marital agreement. As the legal papers moved back and forth from the courthouse to the lawyers and to me, Paul gave updates to the status of my case even though he had been very busy with court hearings. There were delays in the processing of papers but these were due to the slow responses of the other party and the frustrating backlogs of court cases due to the sequestration in 2013. My wife had been angrily mad with the divorce case progression while her lawyer had been callous and insensitive for charging more fees. Paul had been cool and calm to the firestorms in handling my divorce case up to the resolution in mid 2013. The Court judgement arrived and rewarded me the house, the car, retaining my retirement benefits, no spousal support, no child support and leaving me responsible for the credit cards I owned. My ex-wife walked away with her marital freedom and also paid for her credit cards. Paul saved me thousands of dollars with my divorce case. I am very satisfied with Paul's legal service and I highly recommend him to others.

"WE LOST"

I hired Attorney Paul on 10/16/2018. I chose him because Paul has 5* on yelp reviews. I asked if he can represent me to win on a spousal support trial in March 2019. He assured me that he was competent and had the bandwidth to take on my case. He took my case and passed my case to his associate, Mr... Barry Witt. Barry is nice but not aggressive. Barry went to court for one of my hearing. We lost. The Judge sanctioned me $15,000. I pressed my concern to Paul. Paul said Barry continued to prepare my case and Paul will go to Court for hearing. As my big trial date approached, I was panicked because Paul did not prepare anything on my case yet. He then assured me that he has 20 years experience he will take good care of my case. I provided Paul with my critical information that he would need to address the issues in my case with the judge. We went into Court and were eviscerated by the Judge. The Judge asked if Paul reviewed my previous hearing, He replied to the judge he did not. We lost on nearly every issue. And Judge sanctioned me another $15,000. It was clear that Paul was totally unprepared for the hearing, and I paid the price. This cost me many thousands of dollars. As we left the courtroom after the hearing, his only comment was “we lost”. After the hearing, he had an important action to address with opposing counsel. He promised to do in the court lobby, then never did it. I met with Barry in his office, Barry promised to correct it but he never did either. I called, emailed Paul many times requested them to work on my case, I got no response back. 10days later, Barry finally replied to email. He said that they monitor my case. I need lawyers to work on my case, not monitor my case. They did not work on my case at all for 29 days. My new lawyer tried to fix this issue with opposing counsel, we were told it was too late. I had to pay too much for this action. I honestly don’t know if Paul is a great lawyer or not. But I do know that if you don’t prepare, you won’t be successful in Court.
