Oct. 27. Vanguard Legal Group trust seminar in Monterey. We made a deposit of $1200 Nov 3. Met attorney Kendra Bowen in Monterey and started trust preparation. Paid final cost of trust for two. Jan 3. Notified Kendra Bowen of David's death Jan. 17. Local attorney arranged my single title to my ...house Jan. Requested a single trust for me. No cost reduction March 10. Notarized single trust papers in Monterey April 13. Vanguard sent an Email saying a grant deed request was sent to county recorder's office in Monterey May 17 I called Monterey County recorder's office. No request received. I called Vanguard and they asked (for the first time) for my husband's death certificate. I mailed an original death certificate that day. June 2. Called Vanguard and was told request for grant deed going out that day. June 12. Vanguard says request sent July 5. Vanguard says request was returned June 27th because the amount they sent for the grant deed was $20 short July 13. Called Monterey County court recorder. Still no record of a grant deed request for my trust, which is still totally unfunded.
