Jean Marie Kohler

Jean M. Kohler is a partner in the Trusts & Estates Group and is certified by the State Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law.

Jean began her practice in the Trusts & Estates Department at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ms. Kohler relocated to the Bay Area in March 2003 where she continues her estate planning practice, focusing on the preparation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance health care directives. Jean’s practice also includes estate and trust litigation, the administration of decedents’ estates (including both trust and probate estates), and conservatorship and guardianship matters.

Jean is an active member of the Silicon Valley Bar Association and San Mateo County Bar Association and previously served on the board of Palo Alto Community Child Care, an organization that partners with parents and regional agencies to provide quality, professional and accessible childhood care and education in the Palo Alto community.

Jean has been named a Northern California Rising Star since 2009 by Super Lawyers Magazine. Jean is licensed to practice law in California and Wisconsin.
