Daniel X. Xu

Daniel's practice focuses primarily on domestic and foreign patent drafting and prosecution, trademark prosecution, online privacy policies and terms of use agreements, confidential information and intellectual property assignment agreements, and intellectual property due diligence associated with mergers and acquisition and investment transactions.

Daniel has drafted and prosecuted patent applications for start-ups of all stages and multinational corporations including NVIDIA Corporation and Samsung Electronics. Daniel was previously an associate with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Morrison & Foerster. In addition to his practice, Daniel also teaches a course in patent prosecution and intellectual property law at the extension program of the University of California, Berkeley.

Daniel holds an M.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a law degree from Duke University Law School where he was on the editorial board of the Duke Law Journal. Daniel is a member of the state bar of California and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
