Biography
Dr. Jill Jacobson is an intellectual property attorney specializing in patent strategy and procurement for biotechnology, life sciences, and clean technology companies. She assists clients with obtaining patent protection for their innovations and developing an IP strategy that aligns with their business interests. She also advises clients on freedom to operate and design around options in view of competitors’ patent portfolios, due diligence in patent acquisitions, and patent licensing issues, and provides assistance with trademark registrations. Prior to her legal career, Dr. Jacobson obtained her Ph.D. in biochemistry from UCLA and worked as a researcher at the National Institutes of Health and in the biotechnology industry. She has both large law firm and in house legal experience. She combines her scientific and legal skills to develop innovative solutions to her clients' intellectual property challenges and to provide strong protection for their innovative technologies.
