Charles Francis Carbone

Charles Carbone was hired by my mom when I was in Ad seg . During a potty watch and was fully chained up naked with waist chains and cuffs I was sprayed with disinfectant on video by a C.O. name Lipper. Did the whole 602 process answered all levels warden signed 602 acknowledging fault before 90 Day... expiration of video delete by facility Head.. Carbone pick the case up from there after receiving retainer he push to next level as a state board complaint with the state of California .. First red flag he wanted $5000 retainer to meet timeline to file in state or federal court for lost suite .... when time came to fill he was nowhere to be found then at the last minute he took retainer then 2 weeks later returned retainer said time had expired to file in court .... So I thought using a state funded lawyer to sue a state entity Charles Carbone faked me out had me and my family fooled ....

When my brother was incarcerated 7 years ago for Premeditated murder ( facing a 7 to Life sentence), my family and I had lost all hope. After a couple of difficult years, we decided to begin preparing for my brother's parole hearing. Although it was early and the chances of him not being able to paro...le the first time were less than 1%. We wanted to make sure everything was well prepared before the hearing. We went through 2 attorneys and neither of them even visited my brother after receiving payment of 15k total. A little less than a year left until my brother's hearing, I decided to find another attorney. My brother mentioned Mr. Carbone to me and I did some research and called the next day and set up an appt. After the consultation, I felt like Mr. Carbone was the answer to my prayers. He taught my brother the things he needed for his hearing and also life after prison IF he were to be granted parole. My brother felt so confident walking into that room. Any time someone asks me for an attorney recommendation, I say "Mr. Charles Carbone". He is such a caring person. He truly does fight for justice. He is a very respectable, genuine, humble, and smart man. When I say smart, I mean he is SMART! He knows exactly what he is talking about. He is amazing. Our family loves and respects him so much. He brought joy and happiness back in our lives. Mr. Carbone, if you are reading this, Thank you for all that you have done for my family and I. I am able too, with pleasure, write this post, because of the professionalism, insight, dedication and hard work Charles displayed while handling my case. I had proclaimed my innocence since my arrest and it appeared to fall on deaf ears (at-least when it comes to attorneys). My past experience was d...ismal at best. All that "they" made sure to be on top of was, their fee. I was blessed to have Charles in my corner. He was able to see through all the extenuating circumstances and get to the heart of the case. In doing so, He was able to ferret out the truth and I am free today because of this. The time between when my family called him and, when he visited me, it was 3 days. During that meeting he was able to formulate a game plan and he followed through to a tee. He was amazing with my family and friends and made me feel heard and supported. At the hearing, he garnered the respect and attention from the BPH commissioners as well as the DA. He performed brilliantly and did so without seemingly having to work at it. In the years before retaining Charles Carbone to be my incarcerated daughter's attorney in 2007, my daughter had already appeared before a Parole Board a few times, and had been denied each time. During those appearances, my daughter had struggled with being forthcoming while answering the Board's q...uestions, usually because the Board wanted explicit answers regarding the nature of her crime, and my daughter was still having trouble verbalizing details. As soon as Charles became involved with my daughter's case, she became more self-confident. His support allowed her to believe that she deserved to be set free, and his relentless preparation helped guide her focus toward the most pertinent issues of her case. Together, they developed such a trust in each other that she was then able to reach, and then face, her intermost fears which, in turn, allowed her to present a more stable psychological profile before the Board. In late 2008, I was devastated financially by the economic/bank meltdown, and was rendered unable to continue my financial support for my daughter's legal fees. Instead of dropping the case, like 95% of all lawyers out there would have done, Charles forged ahead with my daughter's case pro-bono until such time as I could get back on my feet financially, and citing as his only excuse that: "I believe she deserves to be set free!" Since Charles Carbone has been involved with my daughter's parole attempts, she has obtained a "Suitable For Parole" verdict from three consecutive, different Parole Boards, all of which have then been denied by the Governor's office. My daughter is still incarcerated today because of those denials but, in no way, should that imply a deficiency in Charles' representation. He's done everything necessary to get those decisions to the Governor's desk. The positive recommendation from the Governor's own Board SHOULD be enough, especially after reaching that level three times. After that, the only explanation available is that there must be some sort of politics involved which, I believe, is something Charles has no control over. Our appeal of the latest denial is under way and our only hope, at this point, seems to be to catch whomever is going to make this next decision having "a good day"! In summary, Charles Carbone has had such a positive impact on my daughter's outlook in life, and in her state of mind in general, that I could never imagine anyone else more capable than he is at handling my daughter's representation. We've got the right man for the job, and now, as a lifelong friend. Thank you for your time.
