Jonathan Nightingale has been a shining light during some of the most difficult times I have faced as a mother. Due to my daughter's highly difficult and manipulative father, I was faced with the overwhelming task of having to involve the courts in the custody arrangements. What made things even ...more challenging, was that my new husband and I were given military orders to relocate to Southern California. This in turn prompted my ex to attempt to stop this from happening and demanding full custody of our daughter. After meeting Jonathan, I immediately felt at ease. Extremely knowledgeable, highly professional and emitting a calm yet confident energy, Jonathan was just what I needed dealing with a highly emotional case such as mine. Jonathan kept me posted and well informed throughout the initial filing, compiling all relevant paperwork and breaking down the process in an easy to understand manner. He took care of submitting all necessary paperwork and handling all unsuspected curve balls thrown by the respondent my ex, and his attorney during this process. After my ex was served with papers and a court date scheduled, he attempted to counter with an emergency order to try and gain full custody & stop me leaving the county. Thanks to Jonathan, his requests were denied and weighted heavily in my favor. Unable to come to a resolution with my ex through court ordered mediation, (attorneys not present during the meeting) Jonathan accompanied me to court to hash out the details in front of a judge. Jonathan's calm, confident presentation to the judge and highly intelligent responses to the opposing attorney granted us the opportunity to step out side and negotiate most of the terms recommended by the mediator with one of the most difficult people I have ever come across (my ex). This in its own was a win, if it was up to just my ex and I or even my ex and his attorney, I am confident this wouldn't have been the outcome. Even when there were a couple of protests last minute that the respondent failed to bring up during the negotiation moments before, Jonathan was able to handle the objections in a manner that delivered the fair results I was hoping for and the most beneficial outcome for our daughter. I was granted full Physical Custody, shared Legal Custody with a visitation schedule for her father that suited best the needs of my daughter and in the well being of my family. Hiring Jonathan Nightingale was a huge game changer for me in the legal process. For that reason and more, I will continue to do business with him and to have him represent me in all future matters, not just for Family Law but also with any business and estate planning matters that will likely arise in future.
