Joseph Nicholson takes pride living in a country that affords constitutional protection to the fundamental rights essential for personal freedom. Among these is the Seventh Amendment right to a civil jury trial. Sometimes called your “day in court,” Joseph is driven by a passion that civil jury trials are one of the most important tool for victims to seek justice and level the playing field against powerful entities and organizations that cause harm.

Joseph is an effective advocate for people catastrophically injured by, and the families of those killed by, the fault of others. He has successfully represented numerous families and individuals across California, recovering tens of millions of dollars for people hurt in many different ways including automobile collisions, dangerous premises, defective products, police misconduct, unsafe workplaces, elder abuse and medical malpractice.

In 2012, Joseph graduated from UC Law San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of Law). He then joined a prominent plaintiff-side law firm in the Bay Area specializing in asbestos litigation where he collaborated with a team of highly skilled litigators on pioneering legal issues impacting mesothelioma victims. With a profound belief in the ability of the civil justice system to safeguard citizens from institutional and corporate misconduct, Joseph achieves exceptional outcomes for his clients by diligently preparing their cases for trial or equitable settlements.

Joseph is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, the American Association for Justice, and the National Lawyers Guild. He lives in San Francisco and enjoys sailing the San Francisco Bay.
