My friend hired them for a political asylum case. My friend was arrested by the police after committing a crime with only a work permit and was put in prison. ICE wouldn't let her out. My friend called me from prison and asked me to contact this immigration law firm. The Chinese-speaking paralegal immediately asked me for 3,500 US dollars. The law firm wanted to bail her out of prison. She asked me to tell my friend. I consulted three other immigration lawyers. They all said that even if we gave the money, it wouldn't be possible to bail her out. This law firm wanted to deceive us into giving money even if they couldn't bail my friend out. My friend chose to go back to China. She asked me to tell her lawyer to close the case. But this female assistant told me I couldn't represent my friend and told me not to call her again. When she asked me for the legal fee, I could represent my friend. My friend kept calling the law firm from prison. No one answered. This law firm only called me back once because they wanted my friend to give 3,500 US dollars. For the rest of the calls, they either didn't answer or ignored the messages if not about paying money.
