Sherri Michelle Hansen

Sherri Hansen works on class actions involving wage and hour, discrimination, and other civil rights issues. While in law school, Ms. Hansen worked on pro bono cases representing immigration clients and criminal defendants. As a client advocate with the Iraqi Refugee Assistance project, she successfully represented an Iraqi family who had been denied refugee status to come to the United States despite having faced severe religious persecution in Iraq. Through her work with the Three Strikes Project, Ms. Hansen was also able to secure the release of a man serving life in prison for simple possession of 1/10 of a sugar packet of methamphetamine, an amount worth less than $20.
