Michael Shannon Burke

MICHAEL S. BURKE is the Managing Partner at VOGL MEREDITH BURKE LLP in San Francisco, with more than 24 years experience in the area of civil litigation, emphasizing employment, personal injury, products, commercial, and general liability cases. He graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990, and was admitted to California Bar in December of that year. His undergraduate work began at the University of California at Davis, finishing at UC San Diego where he graduated with a BA in Economics in 1987. Mr. Burke was chosen for inclusion in the Northern California Super Lawyers List 2013-2014 (only 5% of lawyers are chosen), is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California & Nevada, as well as a member the Counsel on Litigation Management, and the Bar Associations of San Francisco and Marin County. He serves on the USLI Claims Advisory Committee (one of only five attorneys chosen in the U.S.) He served as a Delegate for two years to the State Bar Conference of Delegates, was a Barrister of the American Inns of Court, William B. Enright Chapter, and is a graduate of the San Diego Inn of Court, College of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Burke acts as court appointed arbitrator, settlement conference panelist, and as an independent mediator. Mr. Burke is the Editor of the California Commercial Digest, which reports on new law and legal trends in California.
