Nadia N. Iqbal

Nadia and I met several years ago while she was an attorney in Tulare County. In 2014, I moved into a new apartment and somebody had tried to break in after living their for only a few weeks. I no longer felt safe in the area because I discovered management had mislead me about conducting background ...checks on residents. I learned very quickly that the area was not as safe as management led me to believe and that they were simply trying to fill units. My contract allowed me to break the lease in the first 30 days. However, the attempted break in occurred just a day after and management denied misleading me about the area and refused to allow me to break a 1 year lease. When Nadia learned about this, she offered to help. After several weeks of phone calls and letters sent, Nadia was able to get management to agree that they had employed misleading tactics and would allow me to break the lease. She was relentless in pursuing what was fair and right. I can't begin to express how grateful I am for Nadia's help and guidance. I would have been at a loss if it weren't for her and her willingness to fight for me. I have had the opportunity to meet numerous attorneys over the course of my career and Nadia is by far one of the best ones I have ever seen. When I moved out of my apartment the property management garnished my deposit even though I had not done any damage to the apartment.
