I help my clients with a full range of family law matters, including divorce, separation, complex financial issues, child and spousal support, child custody, domestic violence, and pre- and postmarital agreements. I am a trained and experienced mediator and Collaborative Practitioner and have litigated family law cases throughout the Bay Area. Because every person's situation is unique and requires a specialized approach, I am committed to finding the most effective dispute resolution method for each client. I strongly support using consensual dispute resolution methods such as mediation and Collaborative Practice when appropriate and being fully repared to litigate when they're not. The most aggressive approach to a family law matter may not always be the best one. But the most effective approach always is.

I highly recommend Katherine.
Katherine was my attorney for a marital dissolution. She helped me great deal to navigate through all aspects and complexities of the process and helped reach a peaceful settlement. She is very experienced, knowledgeable, efficient with time and easy to work with.

Great lawyer
Katherine was my attorney for a divorce awhile back. I was very pleased with her work. She is super smart, clear and easy to communicate with. There is usually a lot of back and forth as things get hashed out in a divorce, and she was always quick to respond. I can't recommend her too highly.

One of the few good ones...
Unlike many other attorneys I have consulted with over the years, Ms. Shlaudeman is all about giving you the best answers and professional advice possible, and in the least amount of time. (equals low fees!)

Fine lawyer
I hired Katherine for a divorce settlement. She was professional, clear, easy to communicate with and always on the ball. She had the answers to all my questions at her fingertips, and her fees were reasonable. I highly recommend her.
