Laura received her undergraduate degree in 2003 from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After graduation, Laura went on to work as a paralegal at Latham & Watkins, LLP, in their Silicon Valley offices and later attended U.C. Hastings College of the Law, graduating with her J.D. in 2008. While at Hastings, Laura was the Executive Articles Editor of the Hastings Women's Law Journal and recipient of the Roger J. Traynor Student Writing Competition Award for her Note "On the Steps of the Mosque: the Legal Rights of Non-Marital Children in Egypt" (19.1 Hastings Women's L.J. 121 (2008)), inspired by her experiences living in Cairo, Egypt from 1994-1999.
During Law School Laura was a summer associate at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, as well as a law clerk (and later a contract attorney) in the office of the San Mateo County Counsel. Laura joined Camerlengo & Johnson in 2009, and was a founding partner of Bain Mazza & Debski LLP in 2011. Laura is a past-President of the San Mateo County Bar Association, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the San Mateo County Trial Lawyers Association. She is also one of the co-founders of the non-profit Attorneys Backing the Community. She represents employees in employment litigation and injured parties in personal injury cases. She also attended a mediation course through UC Davis and now mediates employment cases as part of her practice.

Laura was an absolute pleasure to work with. I always want to know everything about how stuff works and what possible outcomes might be had. Laura was not only patient with my myriad of inquiries but also proved to know the answer to almost every one. On the rare occasion she did not know, she tol...

Client Review
Laura Mazza has been an absolute pleasure to work with. She listens attentively, is honest and clear in her assessments, and was accessible at all times. She provided me with essential information each step of the way; including filling out and filing paperwork to expectations for appearing in cour...
"Laura is a compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled attorney, and I've had the pleasure of working with her for the past 1.5 years. She has a wide range of litigation experience and has achieved many positive outcomes for her clients."
"Laura is a sharp advocate and a huge asset to my own practice since I frequently consult with her on questions related to employment. She is a stellar attorney and extremely easy to get along with. Great person and a great lawyer!"
"Laura is an excellent plaintiff-side civil litigator specializing in employment and personal injury cases. Laura has an excellent grasp of all the skills necessary to be a top-notch litigator: thoroughness, tenacity, strategizing, and compassion. I highly recommend Laura and her firm."
"Laura has the gifts that many attorneys desire - but cannot be taught in a classroom. Having seen her action, I can attest to her natural eloquence and disarming charm. Combine this with her encyclopedic knowledge of labor and employment issues and dedication to her clients, and you have an attorney with skills and wisdom beyond her years who is a tenacious advocate for those injured by abusive employment practices."
"Laura and I first met as summer clerks working at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy in our second year of law school. From the start, I was impressed with her work ethic, professionalism and ability to work well with others in any situation. Since then, I have had the pleasure of seeing her at various seminars and other events in the legal community and have found her to be one of the most well-spoken, cultured and knowledgeable young attorneys in the Bay Area. I hope to have the pleasure of working with her on future matters and look forward to seeing the success of her new firm, Landman & Mazza."
"Laura Mazza started out as my associate at Camerlengo & Johnson in 2009 and is now my law partner at Camerlengo, Johnson, Landman & Mazza, LLP. Laura is a great young attorney whose qualities include the utmost integrity coupled with impressive intelligence, diligence, loyalty and collegiality. Early on it became apparent that I could rely on Laura’s sound judgment and good common sense. Clients frequently tell me how much they appreciate Laura’s positive efforts on their behalf. I highly recommend her."
"Laura Thomason is a confident, poised, and brilliant attorney, who happens to be a great person too. I shared a summer clerkship with Laura, where we both worked on complex litigation for a variety of plaintiffs. Laura's resourcefulness and research skills were impressive even then. Since that time, Laura and I have served as founding Board members with ABC (Attorneys Bettering the Community), which is an attorney volunteer organization. Not surprisingly, Laura has been a leader. She is tireless on behalf of the homeless and underprivileged. I've seen her make it out to volunteer events even while preparing for (a subseqently winning) a jury trial. Her track record speaks for itself. I strongly endorse her to anyone seeking a top notch employment lawyer."
"Laura Mazza is an excellent attorney. I have had the privilege of working with her for the last one and a half years and have found her to be highly competent, professional, and a strong advocate for her clients. I recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable employment law attorney."
