Child With Disabilities vs. Yonkers School District
Jun 25, 2014OUTCOME: Successfully settled
I represented a child with a unique disability against a New York school district. As a result of a stroke, the child could not recognize letters or numbers - although her vision was perfect. Working w ... ith a professor at Johns Hopkins, a solution was found, but the district was not equipped to implement it. We settled with the district literally on the courthouse steps. They agreed to place the child in the private program she wanted. She is in her second year there and doing well.
