When the managing partner at the company where I was also a partner decided he had found a pretext to oust me from the partnership and deny me my fair share of the previous year's profits, Monica was the first person I thought of to call. She was thorough in asking all the right questions and was ver...y thoughtful in highlighting what the costs of litigation might be at every step of the way. Having read the partnership agreement, she determined the managing partner had no legal justification for what he was doing. She was also crystal clear on the next steps I had to take - essentially business as usual and ignore the managing partner's threats. It felt counter-intuitive at the time, but she was absolutely right. Then, during the settlement negotiations, I felt safe and with her counsel I stuck to my guns and walked away with an excellent pay off.
