In addition to working on specific cases for my clients, my current project is to work for what's called "Debt-Free Justice." I became aware of this movement while working on a motion to waive court-imposed fines and fees in a case. The reseach I was doing led me to an article about how fines and fees keep people "in the system" because failures to pay can lead to allegations of violation of probation. It's a cycle that needs to be broken. 

My intrerest in helping people has always been strong and I can thank my family for that. Coming from New York City to California in the 1940's, my family was in the lower socioeconomic group. Education, service and humbleness made us who we are today.

I love to learn now things, study different cultures and am a student of languages. I speak French and Spanish and want to learn Arabic, too. I love graffiti art, sour candy and reading true crime. My favorite movies are Quentin Tarantino films. 

That motion I mentioned--to waive court fines and fees in a case--it was successful!

There’s nothing more stressful in this busy world we live in then to find yourself against the wrong end of the law. Court proceedings leave you dazed and confused with how fast they Overwhelm you with unfamiliar language and seemingly endless Punishments and fines for your crime. I was Very impressed with Miss Anderson, her diligence and efforts to research every angle of my case, she also took the time to break down the process and explain each step of the way. I went from hopeless and helpless to comfortable and confident that that with Miss Anderson’s help this will all be a part of my past not a determination of my future. Where do I begin? Ms. Anderson gave us much needed advice about helping my son expunge his record. Not only did she take the time to advise me of the facts, but she explained every step of the process with calm, professional clarity.
