Juliet Elaine Peck

In one, brief sentence: a resounding YES - hire this attorney and her associated firm! They will not steer you wrong. Words do not express the depth of gratitude I hold for Ms. Peck, her associate Mr. Lawrence, and the staff of Lawence & Peck. I was arrested in the fall of last year and found my l...ife, my world, completely shattered. This is my first encounter with the criminal-law system, therefore, I knew nothing. My initial phone call was met with calm, understanding, caring and a clear "art of listening". The staff took the time to hear my situation and then began to form a plan of action. My initial information was provided to Ms. Peck from whom I received a follow up phone call and appointment to meet. I will not go into detail of those various meetings, however, what IS important to say is that as the details of my case came to light, there were more questions asked, more fact finding, more fact checking toward the task at hand: how to position me for the best possible outcome for my given situation. I was provided with cost and fee expectations to consider and a clear Contract Agreement that Ms. Peck and I signed. What stands out for me is the consistency with which Ms. Peck continued instruction and information regarding my case; ever reminding me of my obligations to the case, my agreements and ultimately toward my own well-being. I was convicted of a criminal act. This fact will stay with me the rest of my life. My hat goes off to Ms. Juliet Peck. Rarely a day passes where I am not reminded of how her expertise and cunning intellect saved me from an otherwise dreadful and unjust future. Were it not for Juliet and the team of highly qualified specialists she put together on my behalf, my world would be a diff...erent place. Juliet's honesty and candidness is well received in a court system that deals with unscrupulous characters daily. It is her honesty and fair dealings, coupled with her hard work and perseverance that has gained her the respect of her colleagues and clients, both past and present. For over a year Juliet fought on my behalf and the charges brought against me were successfully dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor. But this was not enough and would still have left me in a very difficult situation both personally and professionally. With Juliet's help and counsel we decided to go trail. It was not until the court trial that I truly realized the extent of Juliet's skills and experience. She meticulously selected a jury over several days, while constantly coaching me on appropriate demeanor within the courtroom. Her experience and insight allowed her to see things in an entirely different perspective from mine. Juliet hand selected experts across multiple fields that provided testimony pertinent to my case. They were all well respected within their field and each thought very highly of Juliet for the same reasons I mention here. Respect like this cannot be bought, but rather it is earned. During my trial Juliet laid out the most common sense explanation of the facts surrounding my charge, and in plain language where any among us could comprehend. The evidence she compiled in my favor was so overwhelming, and her presentation so compelling, that it took our Jury all of 10 minutes to deliberate and reach a verdict of not guilty. After the trial I was able to speak with the Jury and they offered their condolences to me. One member of the Jury even gave me a letter of recommendation so that if any question surrounding those circumstances ever arose in the future I could present it as evidence to my character and conduct. But what struck me the most was each Juror's praise of Juliet's handling of my case and trial. They were truly impressed and admired her calm, cool method of presenting the facts, dispelling any rumors or opinions, and shedding light onto what ultimately became a poor and no doubt embarrassing choice for the District Attorney to attempt to convict an innocent person. I have no doubt that should any of those Jurors ever find themselves in a situation like mine, Juliet will be the first person they call. I have recommended Juliet to others over the years and I can tell you with all certainty that they share the same feelings and opinions that I have expressed here. Had I of left it to the courts to appoint a Public Defender on my behalf I do not feel that the situation would have ended the same way. I am not a celebrity nor a person of high stature. I have no friends in high positions to call in legal favors from or apply leverage within the Districts Attorney's Office. I felt the full weight of our criminal legal system fall on my shoulders. Yet I arouse unscathed, with my character and morale intact. If it is legal representation in the criminal courts that you seek, look no further. You will be hard-pressed to find a sharper and more capable individual than Juliet Peck.
